I’m a highly experienced engineer, software architect and engineering leader with 25 years experience in the software industry. I'm currently working in a freelance capacity.

I work mainly with start-ups/scale-ups/SMEs and the sorts of work I undertake are:

• Interim CTO, VP Engineering, Director of Engineering or Senior Engineering Manager roles
• Mentoring of Engineering Managers
• Mentoring and training engineers
• Hands-on development work
• Technical design
• Strategic advice and due diligence (e.g. should we rewrite? Should we buy or build?)

I am particularly experienced helping engineering teams work more closely with product/rest of the business, especially as startups grow.
